Assistance Médiation Internationale - Who are we?

AMICA is a non-profit, apolitical & religionless association. We are volunteer philanthropists from various countries and from different horizons who have linked through our deep connection to Cambodia and its people. In spite of our familial and professional obligations, we aim to support to these brave people who suffer from past horrors and current injustice.

Assistance & Humanitarian Approach-

We believe that a person who collapses on the ground deserves to be helped up again; that a stretched hand needs to be taken with compassion. We have no hesitation to mobilize ourselves to bring assistance to people who are facing dire situations. When we are “AMIs” (‘friends’ in French), we share sorrow and provide a smile of comfort – our friends are not alone.

Mediation & Sustainable Development-

Rural Cambodia, still anchored to the land and traditional practices, is being ushered into 21st century modernity in a great hurry and often without precaution. With our knowledge and connection to the communities within which we work, we have the relationships and resources to establish initiatives that are inclusive of the lifestyles and values of the community and favor an alternative and sustainable approach to development. We strive to create independence and self-sufficiency in harmony with the environment and traditions without ignoring the economic and social realities of rural life in Cambodia.
